Where to Stay

We recommend staying at the Intercontinental Hotel (3315 Peachtree Rd., NE), as it is the site of the wedding, 1 block from the Marta station, 2 blocks from the rehearsal dinner, 3 blocks from Lenox Mall, and 4 blocks from Phipps Plaza. You can view the hotel amenities and services by clicking HERE.

The rooms at the Intercontinental are held under the following listing: Habif Barden Wedding Block.
You can call the hotel directly at 404-946-9000 or 877-422-8254 to reserve a room within the block.
You can also use this link to reserve your rooms online within the wedding block and at the special rate.

Reservations MUST be made BEFORE June 7, 2006 to receive the quoted rate of $159 per night (they are soooo..... serious about that - no exceptions!). After June 7, the rate goes to $259 (I think). (MAJOR PROPS go out to Gail, who finagled the most AMAZING rate at a luxury hotel ever!)

If the Intercontinental is not your style - there are plenty of other lower-key (and lower-cost) hotels in the area. We recommend the following for their proximity to the Intercontinental. . . (both are about $129/night currently).

Embassy Suites Hotel

How to Get There

BY AIR
For those of you flying in, you'll want to book your tickets for Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta (ATL). We recommend taking the Marta train from the airport, as it is a straight shot directly to the hotel. You can also take a cab from the hotel - it should be about $35.00.

BY MARTA
Atlanta's public transportation system is a wonderful way to get from the airport to the Intercontinental Hotel. SImply follow the signs in the airport to the Marta station and board the North Train headed for Dunwoody/North Springs. (Both train lines go north, but only one will eventually reach your destination). Get off at the BUCKHEAD train station stop and exit towards Peachtree Rd. North. When you get to the street level, walk 1 block to your left on Peachtree St. and you will see the Intercontinental on your left..

BY CAR
Via I-75 - (The exit is just north of downtown, so in general, if you are coming from the south - head north, if you are coming from the north, head south. If you are coming from I-20, you'll want to take 75 North.)

Coming down I-75 South (from Marietta, or anywhere north of the city), take the West Paces Ferry exit (Exit 255). Take a left at the light at the bottom of the off-ramp onto West Paces Ferry - then follow the directions below.

Coming up I-75 North (from the airport, I-20, or south of downtown), take the West Paces Ferry exit (Exit 255). Turn left at the light at the bottom of the off-ramp onto Northside Drive. Turn right onto West Paces Ferry (after you pass the Chick-Fil-A) - then follow the directions below.

Take West Paces Ferry about 1.5 miles - it will cross over Peachtree Street and turn into East Paces Ferry. Continue to follow E. Paces Ferry until it hits Piedmont Rd. (Luxury car dealership on your left). Turn left on Piedmont. Travel a few blocks and then turn right onto Peachtree St. (Container Store on one corner, Rooms to Go on another corner). The Intercontinental will be on your right - look for the red umbrellas out front.

Via I-85 - Follow the signs to GA 400 from I-85 (Exit 87). Get on 400 North and follow the direction below.

Via GA 400 - Exit at Buckhead/Lenox/Peachtree (Exit 2). From the off-ramp, turn towards the west on Lenox Rd. (right if you were coming down 400 South from Dunwoody,, left if you were coming up 400 North from I-85). This street will hit Piedmont Rd. (there will be an apartment complex directly in front of you) - turn left on Piedmont. Travel a 0.4 miles on PIedmont and then turn left on Peachtree St. (Container Store on one corner, Rooms to Go on the another corner). The Intercontinental will be on your right - look for the red umbrellas out front. Note there is a $0.50 toll on GA 400 if you are coming south from Dunwoody.
